Audit and Quality Manager(QMS)

Job Introduction

Job Summary:

The Audit and QMS Manager is responsible for overseeing our internal, customer, 3rd party and supplier Audit program. As well as the administration of the global documentation system through leading all aspects of the systems compliance, training, and change.

Role Responsibility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all ISO 9001 program activities including being the primary plant representative and authority on ISO9001 requirements and the primary contact to external ISO auditors

Management and Tracking of audits performed by internal teams, customers, and 3rd parties

Responsible for building and executing annual risk-based audit schedule to drive continuous improvement

Conducting Audits and related training to ensure staff is aware of and implementing best practices

Review and approve all proposed changes to existing global documentation framework

Works towards continual improvement of the Quality Management System through Simplification and streamlining documentation and related processes

Direct and lead global steering team consisting of site coordinators and Quality Managers

Create, define and monitor metrics to be used within documentation system

Coach and mentor 3 / 5 admins and internal audit staff

  • The ability to travel abroad required (15%)

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar

5 to 7 years’ experience in Audit

ISO9001 certification, AS9100, or IATF 16949 experience preferred

3 to 5 years of leadership experience preferred

Project management skills managing multiple issues of moderate to high complexity relatively independently

Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, especially as they relate to machining and assembly preferred

Knowledge of various quality system methodologies such as Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc.

Highly motivated team player with excellent communication and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal English communication skills req
