Key Account Manager
To develop and implement the sales strategy for various John Deere locations in North America in order to maintain and drive business growth and profitability, while meeting corporate objectives.
The territory of responsibility will consist of several John Deere commercial and engineering facilities located throughout North America.
Key Account Sales Development
Utilize resources to attain annual revenue and profit plan targets for the assigned John Deere locations in contribution to the overall Deere global plan
Actively lead the business development process, identifying and exploiting new sales opportunities
Provide input to the long-term (5-year) sales strategy and plan for John Deere and execute agreed upon actions
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for organizing and tracking necessary aspects of sales activity, project development and order management.
Monitor, measure and report on sales opportunities, development plans, project statuses, achievements, issues and obstacles.
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all assigned John Deere locations and roles to support long-term customer satisfaction
Maintain regular and close communication with all internal stakeholders in engineering, quality and commercial roles.
Develop strong relationships with Key Account and Sales & Marketing leadership through regular feedback to ensure broad internal understanding of strategy for supply and technology development.
The Ideal Candidate
4-year university degree or relevant, professional qualification or appropriate experience
Strong knowledge of hydraulics applications, products and mobile equipment
5 years significant, proven OEM account sales experience within the fluid power, electronics or automation industry
Experience managing both prospective territory and mature customer bases and setting appropriate strategic goals and tactical objectives for all accounts
Collaborative, cross-department project management experience within a technologically progressive operation
Proven record of ability to achieve results based on personal assessments of business potential and commitment to a successful process
Record of participating in and maintaining a quality-focused culture in previous organisations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and correspond with people within diverse roles and cultures both internally and from customers.
Able to penetrate and establish relationships within all facets of the OEM organization including financial, supply chain, engineering, R&D and service.
Facilitate all business activities from promotion through product development and production, with both customers and colleagues, leading through consensus to meet needs and goals at each step
Ability to anticipate, understand and cultivate the needs of the customer both technically and commercially, and to provide matching, valuable recommendations and solutions
Capable of professionally challenging existing practices, processes and systems to deliver insights and improvements within both customer and HydraForce businesses.
Detail oriented management technique to maintain a large spectrum of contacts and roles across varying facilities and structures.
Strong leadership potential, with the desire to motivate others by example to achieve exceptional performance

Utilization of CRM platform for sales activity and project management and tracking

Skill in using on-line communication platforms and effectively moderating meetings to further sales activity and customer communication
Frequent on-site presence at all assigned Deere facilities is required and expected
Regular visits to HydraForce IL facilities as determined
Potential for limited international travel to additional Deere or HydraForce facilities
