Job Introduction
Point of contact for transportation coordination and management for shipments in/out of HydraForce
Role Responsibility
Duties & responsibilities
- Review freight invoices from carriers and approve and request payment
- Research and resolve freight invoice issues
- With Accounts Payable, from carriers direct, etc.
- Provide monthly freight accrual to Finance department
- Manage freight service for Ltd locations for urgent/critical transportation needs including
- outbound to customers and inbound for Purchasing/Manufacturing/Engineering/Marketing
- Primary point of contact for freight forwarders and UPS
- Ensure accurate data and reporting for suppliers
- Educate and inform suppliers as needed
- Event responses
- Other transactions as appropriate
- Communicate updates to Purchasing as required
- Participate in freight contract negotiations
- Interact with and support Shipping and Receiving Teams
- Track and report on extraordinary freight expenses and make recommendations to reduce
- expense
- Contribute to budget development for Outbound and Inbound spend, along with budget
- variance explanations
- Support the Trade Compliance team
- Coordinate activities with global HydraForce locations, ensuring proper service and cost.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to compose succinct written reports which are outline issues and relevant recommendations such that they can be easily interpreted and understood
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage small projects from start to completion in a timely manner, meeting budgetary requirements
- Team player with the ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural and diverse team
- Flexible with the ability to work across teams effectively and seamlessly
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Proficient in Fourth Shift or other ERP/MRP
