Manufacturing Process Engineer II
Job Introduction
Develops and implements manufacturing process improvement programs for the company.
Role Responsibility
The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary
- Plan and coordinate manufacturing processes
- Improve manufacturing methods; modify processes to improve safety and product quality, and/or reduce costs
- Plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Work collaboratively with Design and Purchasing team to develop product design and tooling processes to ensure efficient production methods
- Support new valve platform and product launches through production using production launching tools and processes (i.e., APQP, PFMEA, Mistake – Proofing, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, DFM/DFA, etc.)
- Establish new and improve existing prep, assembly, and test processes continuously
- Utilize statistical process controls to monitor production processes
- Streamline new product development projects
- Design new and improve existing assembly fixtures
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Occasionally lift and move a minimum of 20 pounds without assistance
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities
Work Environment
- Work time is spent in both an office setting and warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering preferred or experience in lieu
- Five to Ten years related experience or equivalent
- Strong background in 3D modeling software, Creo preferred
- Strong background in assembly fixture design
- Strong background in process development preferred
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Acute attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize projects
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite, DMAIC and TOC
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method
- Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization
